Finally, we have her pointed skirt and sleeves! And it’s her first substantial appearance. Mae is in awe of the car, saying she hasn’t seen one in years (which, knowing she’s only existed for 2 years, means she’s probably never seen one at all and that’s just Lana’s memories). Lana brings the Kents and shows her to them, which startles her terribly because they’re supposed to be dead. Later on Mae reappears as Lana driving a truck before deciding to go help Clark as Supergirl. There’s a coloring error on the last page where she has blue tights again. I love how she looks in this issue. It’s some of my favourite Mae art, and probably my favorite Mae from Byrne. Her hair is beautiful and she seems so so confused and displaced, setting up the beginning of Supergirl Saga with the next issue!
