Still no pointed sleeves or skirt here. her hair also looks different from usual here, but to be honest this happens all the time. I like to pretend it’s a choice of hers… although that doesn’t make much sense if she’s unconscious here. Oh well. Here they establish that she’s physically human, she’s just emanating heat because of a field around her (telekinesis as the source of her powers being established very early on). This is an important distinction, as at this point I’m sure many fans were assuming this Supergirl was going to be Kara. This is also when it’s dropped that she’s been in the ice for several hundred years (later clarified to around 200, I think). This stands out because she’s in a Superman-esque costume, and of course Superman isn’t over 200 years old lol.
